Copyright Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-18

1.Overview

GigComs lets artists share mixes and tracks. We respect copyright and expect everyone who uploads to do the same. This policy explains what you can upload, how rights holders can report infringement, and what happens next.

2.What you can upload

  • Music you made and own the rights to.
  • Music you have permission to share publicly, such as a licence or written consent from the rights holder.
  • DJ mixes, if you have the rights or licences needed to share every track in them. You are responsible for this.

3.How to report infringement

Use the Report button on the mix or track page and choose “Copyright infringement”, or email legal@gigcoms.com. Include:

  • The work you believe is being infringed.
  • A link to the upload on GigComs.
  • Your name and contact details.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised, that the information is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.

4.What happens next

  • We review every report.
  • If the report is valid, we remove the upload and email the uploader the reason.
  • We email you when we've made a decision.

5.If your upload was removed

If you think we made a mistake, for example because you own the rights or have a licence, reply to the removal email or write to legal@gigcoms.com with the details. If we agree, we restore the upload.

6.Repeat infringers

If 3 or more of an account's uploads are removed within 12 months, we switch off uploads for that account. We may also close accounts that repeatedly infringe.
