Set (Slot)

Definition

A set is a continuous performance time block assigned to an artist. Also called a "slot" when referring to scheduling within a multi-artist event or festival lineup.

Context & Usage

Set times are defined in the contract: "DJ performs from 23:00 to 01:00 (2-hour set)." For multi-artist events, the running order assigns slots — opening, peak time, and closing. Set length varies: club DJs typically play 1.5–4 hour sets, festival slots are 1–2 hours, and wedding DJs may play 4–6 hours with breaks.
