EPK (Electronic Press Kit)

Definition

An EPK is a digital portfolio that artists use to promote themselves to bookers, venues, and media. It includes a professional bio, high-resolution photos, music samples or mix links, press coverage, and contact information.

Context & Usage

An EPK replaces the traditional printed press kit. Bookers and promoters expect artists to have one when submitting for gigs or festivals. A strong EPK includes: a concise bio (100–200 words), 3–5 professional photos, links to mixes or tracks, notable past gigs or festival appearances, social media stats, and a booking contact. GigComs public profiles function as a modern EPK.
